Was such a privilege and honour to conduct a “Workshop on Innovation and Entrepreneurship” @Seacom Skills University having been invited by my ex Prof. Dr. P.K.Dan ( Pro VC ). Furthermore, felt a little helpless and humbled when he felicitated me. Am not sure if I could do justice to these two limitless topics on Innovation and Entrepreneurship as everyday I find myself learning and re-learning from scratch all over again but I really tried my best. What gave me lasting joy was the group exercise( pictures which are missing here) where 5 groups each having 12 students were first handed over 5-6 Post it stickers( in fact another brilliant innovation from the iconic brand 3M) and 2 scissors per group and were asked to cut each sticker paper into lengthwise shapes. The group who got the highest shreds were asked to announce the numbers which were recorded. Each group had on an average 52 to 84 shreds. The second part of this exercise was where 1 A4 sheet was handed to each group along with a Fevistick roll and NOW they were asked to create 3D structures with these innumerable shreds and use the A4 paper as the base.( Not easy!) The 3D structure that was the tallest or made the most sense wins the first prize! OMG..the faculty was called in to judge and we had 2 joint winners!! One group had created a pyramid kind of a shape with a solid base and other had created a tower which was really tall. The winner groups were treated to handsome snacks in their canteen! And thus ended the session. My biggest takeaway and learning was that -highly engaging sessions can be done with very simple things. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive before these stickers were handed out but Yes it went really well!
